I LOVE in home sessions! Whether it's just a couple or an entire herd of a family.

Everyone is much more comfortable and there's something so special about the everyday life that I think we miss while we're busy living.

It's even more magical when my clients just let me immerse myself into their world and let me do my thing. That's the best.

Married just over a year and expecting their first child, I think these two would say life has a funny way of working out, and being able to document their wedding and now their soon to be family, has been so fun.

Walking around downtown Spokane, in early Spring, can be an adventure weather wise, but it for sure held out for us and I think the results are amazing. Plus the right amount of wind can do wonders for a woman's hair....and let's be real, Tiff's hair is Beyoncé status.

Happy Sunday!

Delicious light.

Freezing weather.

First shoot of 2016.

These two were troopers and for this Florida boy, he did pretty well faking that he wasn't cold.

Baby Harper will be making her grand entrance in just a few weeks and I'm beyond excited to photograph the chaos of a newborn. That's one of the best parts of my job, becoming friends with clients and getting to capture defining moments in their life.

Happy Wednesday

A few weeks ago I blogged these two (here) and their baby bump and I finally got to meet the little princess not long after. I don’t think I’ve ever seen two people more happy or in love. They’ve had quite the journey and it’s awesome to finally see them become parents.

One of the greatest things about being a photographer, is that I become friends with my clients. Especially when they have let me into their world more than once to document their lives. I was almost a little teary when I left their house because I had seen them so much in the last few weeks.

Congrats you guys! She’s beautiful!

These two.

I heart them both so much. So laid back and down to earth. Hardworking and loyal. And hello...GORGEOUS!

With their baby girl on the way and this cold snowy morning, I thought it was perfect timing to post their summer wedding. This day was so fun and I feel truly blessed to have been the one to capture their wedding day.

Happy Monday everyone!

Oh 2015, what a trip you have been.

This last week I have been reminding myself of what life has been like in the last 12 months and I’m truly blown away and humbled and incredibly excited for 2016 (and maybe a little terrified too).

Thank you so much to all of those who have been a part of #thelifeoftess and for continuously supporting and loving me through this adventure.

Proverbs 13:12 // Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.

This verse has been a long time favorite of mine because there are certain hopes and dreams that I'm waiting to see fulfilled, so I can only imagine what this couple feels just weeks away from meeting their daughter...their first born.

The process has been a long and hard one for them. I remember having coffee with Alicia and telling her how her husband is going to lose his mind over this baby girl and watching her get emotional.

Don't give up. Hold tight. Hope is coming for you.

This is the second time I've tried putting this beauty together because for whatever reason, my internet decided to crap out on me. I had flowery words and pretty things I said about my trip...but due to frustration and loosing that lovin' feelin'....I'm going to let my photos speak for themselves and maybe next time, I will write more.

Cheers to Monday!

When I talk about lifestyle photography, this is exactly what I mean. Capturing your life as it's unfolding around you. It's an amazingly beautiful thing to be a part of.

I've known Emily since second grade and it was surreal to watch her be a mom and wife. She and her husband are so good at being parents. They are chill and fun and those girls know that they are loved.
